The fact that you don't think somethin can be dark or light or good or evil based on the word and ideas is amusing. Because, like with people, there are many things that try their hardest to be one or the other and do a good job at it. Also, raising the dead... how in any way is that good? You're taking a dead body or bodiless soul and animating them to do your bidding. It's like a comand or compel curse on something dead!

Oh anon. There you go, pushing your moral ideas on others. Look, my morals are not your morals. Personally? I think rape is a form of murder. Does it get treated as such? No. That’s my moral standpoint. Are you obliged to feel the same way? No.

I live by the idea that everything is shades of gray. Some of those shades are dark, almost black, and others are nearly white. That doesn’t make it good or bad. Do I think some people can be downright assholes? Sure. People committing genocide need to die. Are they evil? Sure. Do I think they are inherently “evil” like evil is a thing? Nope. I think people can be broken and that might make them evil in the eyes of society. Those who commit genocide do it out of hate and being broken, mentally. Again, they’re evil but to me evil isn’t a thing. It’s a sliding scale. It’s not some apex or balancing act.

I don’t try to be good. I try to do what I want to do. I help people because I want to. I save animals and heal them because I was in the right place at the right time. I stop for people in car accidents because my mother’s a nurse and I learned first aid through her. I block children from screaming adults because I’ve been that child and there’s no need for it. Am I “good”? Maybe. I’m just doing shit because I want to. I curse people. I like cursing people. When they piss me off and I think the deserve it I curse them. Is that playing judge and jury? Sure. Do I care? Nope. I live my life as I see fit. I don’t need to meet your or anyone else’s approval. I’m not sorry my life doesn’t fit your moral guidelines. 

Also, what things? Are you referring to “good spirit guides” who help you on your journeys through the astral plane? Let’s break that idea down. Are they actually “good” or manipulating you? Are they getting something out of it? Maybe they’re studying humans and think you make a fascinating subject. Maybe that spirit is steal your energy or learning to mimic it for usages in glamour and illusion magic. Maybe they think you’re hilarious and the biggest joke in all of time. Perhaps they are thinking about driving you mad. Or maybe they are actually the beneficial spirit you think they are. How can you know. The only thing you can be sure of is yourself. Everything else can be illusions, lies, deceptions, and masks.

I don’t work with the dead. My brother does. We live in the same house so there’s no need. If I see a ghost I direct it to him. We’ve got a lovely system worked out where he works with the dead and I work with the spirits. He compels the dead to ask them questions. He makes them do his bidding because he can. His morals say he can do that. I’m not going to judge him for that.

I also think you’re a little confused. Most necromancers don’t actually raise the dead body. They aren’t zombies. There are some necromancers who actually can raise the dead. The corpse walks a few feet. It’s a traditional practice and takes years and years and years to learn. The closest my brother comes to actually raising the dead is going over to a waked corpse and talking to the spirit. He has no interest in physically raising the dead. A corpse is going to get noticed what with the rotting and such. By raise the dead a lot of necromancers I’ve run across actually mean raise the spirit of the deceased.

And cursing the dead? Why the fuck not? If you hated that person in life, why not curse them in dead? You’re foisting your morals on others again.

Simply put anon, you’re ideals are quaint in my opinion. I don’t have to live your morals and you don’t have to live mine. Stop being a big back of dicks. Thanks.
